Frequently Asked Questions

We start to see children as soon as they have their baby teeth coming in or when they reach one year of age. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children see a pediatric dentist when the first tooth appears, or no later than his/her first birthday.

We will schedule new patients under the age of 12. We will graduate children between the ages of 13-15 on an x-ray cycle. Dr. Carr Bustillo believes it is important that children establish a dental home with a general dentist prior to graduating from high school as there are many new life experiences and responsibilities after graduating from high school. 

We do insurance verification however it is just an estimate and you will be responsible for any amount not paid by your insurance. A predetermination can be submitted to your insurance  upon request.  Insurance verifications can take up to 6-8 weeks and is still not a guarantee of payment.  Final determination by insurance companies is made upon final review after treatment is completed.  

Yes we do allow you to schedule all of your children on the same day. We do not recommend booking multiple children for treatment appointments as the treatment appointments are usually longer appointments.
